Description
Jumbo Amaryllis Emerald is a sophisticated spider-type amaryllis that brings a fresh and elegant look to indoor displays. Its flowers open into a light, star-shaped form, with long, narrow petals that extend and gently twist outward. This open structure gives the plant a refined, contemporary feel and sets it apart from traditional amaryllis with fuller, rounded blooms.
The colouring is subtle and detailed. Soft greenish-white petals are finely marked with delicate red striations, while a luminous green throat adds depth and brightness at the centre of each flower. These fine markings create a botanical, almost hand-finished appearance that becomes especially striking in bright natural light. Several flowers develop on each sturdy stem, offering a generous yet uncluttered display.
With a mature height of around 60 cm, Jumbo Amaryllis Emerald is well suited to indoor growing in pots. It works beautifully in modern interiors and neutral settings where its gentle colours and architectural form can be appreciated. Plant the bulb with the neck partially exposed above the soil and water lightly until growth begins. Once established, keep the compost lightly moist. Cybister-type amaryllis typically flower around 8–12 weeks after planting under normal indoor conditions. This variety is ideal for anyone seeking a modern amaryllis with a calm, elegant presence.
