Description
Peony Madame Claude Tain is a classic herbaceous peony admired for its elegant form and refined presence in late spring gardens. The large, fully double blooms open with a soft creamy tone and gradually mature into a luminous, porcelain-like white. Finely layered petals give the flowers a light, romantic appearance while retaining a structured and timeless shape.
Flowering from late spring into early summer, this peony adds calm sophistication to borders and perennial plantings. The strong stems reach approximately 80 to 90 cm in height and form generous clumps spreading to around 60 to 80 cm wide, allowing the flowers to stand proudly without losing their graceful character.
Plant Madame Claude Tain in well-drained soil in a sunny or lightly shaded position. The crown should be planted shallowly, with the eyes set about 3 to 5 cm below the soil surface. Once established, this long-lived peony becomes increasingly reliable, returning each year with improved vigour and bloom quality.
