Description

Sanguisorba albiflora, also known as White Flowered Burnet, is a lovely perennial that adds a light, airy feel to summer gardens. Its slender stems carry delicate, fluffy white flowers above fresh green foliage, creating a natural look without taking over the garden.

Flowering from June to September, this variety looks beautiful planted among ornamental grasses and other summer-flowering perennials. Its white flowerheads seem to float above the leaves, adding gentle movement and softness to cottage gardens and natural-style borders.

Growing to around 60 to 75 cm tall, Sanguisorba albiflora is more compact than some other varieties. It is ideal for the middle of a border, where its flowers can grow naturally between surrounding plants.

This hardy perennial is easy to grow and thrives in full sun or partial shade. It prefers fertile soil that stays moist but is well drained. Once established, it returns year after year, gradually forming an attractive clump.

For a beautiful summer display, try planting Sanguisorba albiflora alongside Salvia, Crocosmia or ornamental grasses.

At DutchGrown, we supply Sanguisorba albiflora as a bare root plant, ready for spring planting. Dispatch begins in mid-March.
