Description

Sanguisorba ‘Pink Tanna’ is a beautiful perennial that adds a natural feel to summer gardens. Throughout summer, slender stems rise above the foliage, carrying small, fluffy pink flowers that gently sway in the breeze.

The flowers have a lovely rosy-pink color with pale pink stamens, giving them a soft, feathery appearance. They look particularly beautiful planted among ornamental grasses and other summer-flowering perennials.

Growing to around 60 to 90 cm tall, ‘Pink Tanna’ is a relatively compact variety. It is ideal for the middle of a border, where its delicate stems grow naturally between neighboring plants without hiding them. Try combining it with Echinacea, Salvia or Verbena bonariensis for a beautiful late-summer display.

This hardy perennial is easy to grow and returns year after year, gradually forming an attractive clump. Plant it in full sun or partial shade, in fertile soil that stays moist but is well drained. Once established, it needs very little maintenance.

The flowers are also attractive to bees and other beneficial insects, making Sanguisorba ‘Pink Tanna’ a lovely addition to wildlife-friendly gardens.

At DutchGrown, we supply Sanguisorba ‘Pink Tanna’ as a bare root plant, ready for spring planting. Dispatch begins in mid-March.
