Thalictrum Delavayi, commonly known as Chinese meadow-rue, graces gardens with its elegant presence. From mid-summer to early autumn, it adorns the landscape with ethereal clusters of lilac to white blooms held aloft by sturdy, dark-purple stems. Its graceful fern-like, grey-green leaves add to its allure. This perennial's translucent quality makes it a versatile addition, perfect for positioning in front of shorter perennials or as a charming backdrop at the rear of borders, creating a delightful visual contrast.

Thalictrum Delavayi is a well-liked choice for gardens, commonly featured in wildflower gardens, woodland gardens, and as a source of cut flowers.

Introduced to Europe in 1884 by the French missionary and botanist Père Jean Marie Delavay, this plant was given its name in his honor.
