Description

Also known as Fumewort or Bird in a Bush

Bring gentle early spring colour to your garden with Corydalis solida ‘Beth Evans’, a charming woodland perennial prized for its soft pink flowers and delicate, fern-like foliage. One of the very first plants to flower after winter, it adds light and freshness to shady borders just when the garden is waking up.

From early spring, neat clumps of finely cut green leaves are topped with clusters of tubular blush-pink blooms. The effect is subtle, elegant, and especially beautiful beneath trees, along paths, or in rock gardens. After flowering, the foliage naturally fades away as the plant goes dormant, leaving space for later-emerging perennials and bulbs.

‘Beth Evans’ settles in easily and will gently spread over time, returning year after year with very little effort.

Why you’ll love Corydalis ‘Beth Evans’

  • One of the earliest spring flowers, blooming from March to April
  • Soft pink flowers that brighten shaded areas
  • Fine, fern-like foliage with a light, airy look
  • Ideal for woodland gardens, borders, and underplanting
  • Reliable, low maintenance, and excellent for naturalising
