Description
Astrantia ‘Moulin Rouge’ is a stunning variety with rich, deep red flowers that add depth and elegance to summer borders. Flowering freely throughout the season, it creates a sophisticated display without overpowering the plants around it.
The blooms feature the distinctive Astrantia form, with finely textured pincushion centres surrounded by pointed bracts in shades of burgundy, claret and crimson. Together they create a soft cloud of colour that brings texture as well as vibrant interest to the garden.
Ideal for cottage gardens, natural planting schemes and mixed perennial borders, ‘Moulin Rouge’ pairs beautifully with roses, salvias, alliums, ornamental grasses, campanulas, ferns and hostas. Its rich colouring provides wonderful contrast while still blending naturally with surrounding plants.
