Description
This brand new Indian Summer mix is the ideal choice for your wildlife garden! The Indian Summer mix contains Echinacea (coneflowers) and Heleniums (Sneezeweed). These perennials are used as butterfly nectar plants with showy blooms that are great for a wildflower bouquet.
Bearing bold flowers in orange, white, red and yellow, Heleniums and Echinaceas which are a bright and cheerful addition to the garden borders. These plants thrive in full sun and look great mixed with other hot coloured flowers and ornamental grasses. They are also brilliant late summer plants for pollinators.
Heleniums thrive in most soil types, and prefer full sun. They dislike very heavy, wet soil, and won’t flower in shade. Avoid planting in a windy position, as the tall flower stems may blow over.
Coneflowers prefer full sun and well-draining soil as well; they are drought-tolerant.
Planting information
· Plant your flower bulbs in autumn
· Plant in borders or containers in sun or partial shade
· Plant the bulbs three times the size of the bulb deep
· Space the bulbs two times the size of the bulb apart
· Plant the bulbs with the pointed side facing upwards
